PM&T, INC.
(NORTH) - SAN ANTONIO PM&T originated in a small San
Antonio family garage in 1985 and gradually developed into a
thriving corporation of today. In 1986 no longer able to operate
with its limited space, it moved to a 1,500 Sq.Ft. facility.
Once again in 1989, they began experiencing growing pains and
moved to a 5,000 Sq. Ft. facility. Within a 5 year period at the
new location, PM&T solidified its track record in the
Medical Instrumentation, Electronic Components, Automotive Parts
& Accessories, Consumer Products, Toy and Aerospace
Industries. Producing precision molds that create sophisticated
equipment for the world market.
PM&TM (SOUTH) -
LA FERIA In April 1991, the La Feria (South) division was
established to support a growing Maquila Industry along the
Texas-Mexico border and supply mold repair and manufacturing
expertise. Presently, this facility has expanded to a total of
8,500 Sq. Ft. due to its enormous success.
PMI - MEXICO
With the implementation of the NAFTA pact, PM&T has taken
advantage of this window of opportunity by breaking ground in
the Reynosa Maquila Park area by establishing PRECISION MOLD
INTERNATIONAL. Known worldwide, PM&T has built tooling
for Europe, Japan, Mexico, Canada, Saudi Arabia and South
America.
Recently In 1994,
PM&T (North) relocated to a 10,000+Sq. Ft. facility and
acquired larger CNC Machining and EDM centers and surface
grinders. Already possessing full 3-dimensional Solids-Modeling
capability, PM&T further invested in upgrading its
UNIGRAPHICS computer aided design / manufacturing system.
Product Development is
another area of expertise where PM&T has developed Consumer
and Industrial items with tremendous success. The
"Turn-A-Tot" child seat has been produced world wide
by Renolux, a French manufacturing company. SATCO, an industrial
supplier, has used PM&T's patented Vise Trolley to improve
efficiency in manufacturing operations and a variety of other
developments that are used in the mold making industry.
In 1994 PM&T (North)
was recognized as an ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR Finalist, a
coveted award among leading San Antonio businesses. PM&T was
featured in the San Antonio Business Journal and Plastics News
Magazine for its accomplishments in the Mold Making Industry and
Product Development.
More recently in May
of 1995, PM&T (South) was recognized for best demonstrating
a commitment to economic well being of community and state, and
was named as BUSINESS OF THE YEAR. PM&T was presented
with the NATIONAL SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD by
Senator Phill Gramm's office in a ceremony honoring the
company's success.
April
1999 saw the addition of Precision Molded Products - the
Injection Molding Division and construction of a 22,000 SQ. FT.
climate controlled manufacturing facility. This new facility
will be home to All Electric, Cincinnati Milacron Closed Loop
Presses ranging from 55 - 330 Tons. Plans also include QS9000
Certification.
